On Tuesday, 16 December 2025, King’s College London and the Music Acoustics Research Centre, in partnership with the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary University of London, hosted the annual Digital Music Research Network (DMRN+20). Organised by the indomitable Mark Gotham (MARC member from the Department of Digital Humanities) and the resourceful Alvaro Bort (C4DM) at Bush House on the Strand, the event drew 50% more people than the previous year.
Keynote
The keynote speaker Julian Parker of Stability AI β open-source generative AI designed to expand human creativity β spoke on the “Anatomy of a modern music generation model”.
